Way too typical and predictable to be true. It's one of those petty mushy gushy novels that almost make you want to puke all over it. I would maybe suggest it for a more naive, unintelligent audience, but for me, as a smart student happily in a relationship where he surprises me with out of this world dates and special moments, I felt this book tried to hard to make the couple seem TOO mushy. You don't have to cry when you have sex. You don't have to act like it's torture to be without each other for a mere five minutes. And not usually does a couple began after a young girl moves into a boy's mothers house, where they hate each other, but end up making out in the kitchen the next day. This book definitely does not show the image of true love and it makes me feel bad for the younger generation that is going to think that this is what love actually looks like. Real love is so much more than how this book describes it, and I only hope everyone can experience something better than what this book offers. This was a fun read. I got it because I'm a big fan of General Hospital. I hadn't read a romance in a long, long time (around 25 years or so) and I had forgotten about how steamy they get but this one was mostly a sweet story with some steamy parts mixed in. It was an easy read, something that I could have pictured myself reading while lounging poolside. I gave it three stars, but it was more like 3.5 stars.
What do You think about Love In Maine (2013)?
Considering this book was part of a soap opera story line it was pretty good and a very quick read.
