This is my favorite book! "Love Saves the Day" is told, mostly, from the point of view of Prudence the Cat whose owner dies after which she moves in with her owner's duagher. Slowly, Prudence becomes family. But this is much more then a book about a cat. This is a book about family, love, grief, and finding yourself. Gwen Cooper is amazing at weaving togehter an amazing story. I would recomend it to everyone, not just cat lovers. This is a book for anyone who has ever loved a cat. Prudence is a striped tabby cat who was adopted by Sarah in New York City. After three wonderful years together, Sarah dies, leaving Prudence to her estranged daughter, Laura. Although confused about why she no longer sees Sarah, Prudence settles in with Laura and her husband, Josh. There are parts of this book that have you laughing out loud (Prudence's first encounter with a vacuum cleaner) and others that bring tears to your eyes (when Prudence realizes that she will never see Sarah again). The book is written by Gwen Cooper, who captivated us with her book about her blind cat, Homer.
What do You think about Love Saves The Day (2013)?
Liked it very much, especially the musings and actions of Prudence. A must read for cat lovers.
