I'm not going to rate this book, because I really didn't have a strong opinion on it. I'm marking it as DFN because it's just not grabbing my attention at all. I read the first 15% or so and I'm not crazy about the heroine. She's grouchy and judgmental. (Already assuming the H is a jerk simply because he's good looking and she's had bad luck with good looking men? Even though the guy went out of his way to help her, then was nice enough to let her stay in her house for free, even though he just bought it? Yeah, ok.)Also, I get insta-lust, but within 10 minutes of meeting each other, the H is already sporting an erection and the h is fantasizing about jumping him. The guy who is essentially her new landlord, who she just met.I got it for free, and maybe I'll think about revisiting it some day, but for now, I'd rather move on to something more interesting in the queue. I got this book free on a Goodreads giveaway. It is the authors first book and it is a first of a series. Brock is a former rugby player from Wales running from the spotlight and Sam is a bassist in a jazz ensemble running towards the spotlight. This book has mature themes which were fine but I felt the book would have still been good without them. Sam was silly and a bit of a mess, Brock was was put together and not real sure what to do with Sam and the odd ball people in the town. Brock finally found his place in life and Sam is still looking for hers. Funny story, kept me laughing, great ending!
