The book to me seemed to have similarities to several books that I have read (The Hunger Games, Partials, Nightshade). It was a great book but it lacked something.... That something was the relationship between Echo and Beatrice. I never found out why they were connected and how so. I wanted to know more about the Dreamcatchers and their history with the Seers. I didn't get that and hopefully the 2nd book (whenever it comes out) will answer my lingering questions. I figured out a lot of information about Beatrice and the Keeper before it was revealed. I just had that feeling...and I was right!! I just love being right.... :) Anyways... I throughly enjoyed the book. It was something different from what I normally read and I liked it a lot. It was so worth $4.99 (since I got it on Kindle). I would recommend to anyone with the same taste in books as me (dystopian si-fi). The seers have visions of future events, but they don't know when they will happen. So they try to prepare the best they can for when they happen. Sometimes things are out of their hands, and what they see happens regardless. Dreamcatchers, take the images from people. They take the past. In order to heal they most take from others. Beatrice is a seer, she is only one who has such clear visions, ones that the Keeper pays attention too. When she has a vision of a dreamcather in the city gates, hours later she is caught and then put to death. What a very different book. I thought it was great I can't wait to read the next book.
