I’m not quite sure what it was, but something about this book just rubbed me the wrong way. I found the constant bickering between the main couple to be really annoying and I didn’t like how the twin sister kept copying the main girl and poking her nose into stuff that wasn’t her business. Maybe that’s what made me dislike the book? One thing I do know is that I won’t be reading this again. Book #2 in the Deep in the Heart of Texas SeriesHope Scroggs has come home to Bramble, TX from Hollywood in hopes of marrying her high-school sweetheart. She gets a rude awakening when Slate Calhoun gets married to the twin sister she never knew she had. Hope is resentful & angry that her sister has stolen her man right out from under her, but not for long.Bad-boy Colt Lomax is also back in town & she can't get away from him. Boy do the sparks fly whenever these 2 interact with each other.Now the crazy townspeople in Bramble are convinced that Hope has come home to raise her baby & they're insistent on finding the baby-daddy so the town sweetheart doesn't have to go it alone.Lots of sexual tension & lots of funny moments in this book with the crazy townspeople.
