I recently read and really enjoyed Do Over by Shannon Guymon. When finished I went looking for other books she had written and learned that Do Over was part of a series so I requested the other books from the library. When reading Do Over I didn't feel like I had missed anything but looking back now after having read Makeover I realize I was missing out on a lot of back-story.Makeover was a stereotypical LDS fiction novel. A lot of fun to read but a little over the top unbelievable at times. I laughed, rolled my eyes, smiled, giggled and enjoyed myself while reading it. Great characters, lots of humor and fun and a nice big bow trying everything up nice and pretty at the end. One of those kind of indulgences where you can just slip out of reality and into the pages of a good book. From blue hair to psycho ex-girlfriends there is plenty to smile about while reading this one. While I thought the writing and story line in Do Over was a notch or two above what was in Makeover I still thoroughly enjoyed this one and will be reading the rest of the series.Rating: 3.5 Stars - Good BookContent: CleanSource: LibraryGenre/Age Level: LDS fiction appropriate for teens as well as adults Sophie Reid was dumped by her missionary boyfriend when he introduced her to his fiance at the airport. She was crushed, but decided to get on with it and make him regret the breakup. Then she meets Sam. Sophie has a crazy family (parents divorced); Sam has a crazy ex-girlfriend. I thought, at times, that Sophie was pretty harsh to some of her extended family members, but I guess they had it coming. All in all, a fun, entertaining, LDS story.

Cheesy and fluffy--definitely. Still a fun read though.

Not the most incredible book, but entertaining enough.
