I was a little disappointed in this as it was not what I expected, but please don't ask me what I expected. Mind you I am not a professional, I am just someone that lives makeup. There was some good basic info but I feel like a lot of it was stuff I have picked up along the way. She is also very adamant about the order of putting on makeup and I did not agree with it, as it can be better to do eyes first then face to better account for fall out. Not something I feel the need to ever reread again or to own. Just as the title suggests, this book is DEFINITELY a "manual"--filled with everything from the basics of makeup to more tricky and intricate designs. If you're new to the "realm of makeup" like I am, you'll appreciate the tips and inspiration from Bobbi Brown. A woman dedicated to making others feel beautiful, Brown describes everything in detail with a multitude of pictures and a wealth of information.Everything you could imagine is in this book. My favorite part is a whole ten pages dedicated to a natural, professional, simple look. Step by step with full-page pictures, the "natural look" covers moisturizing, the basics of foundation, eyes, lips, and blemishes. I would recommend this to any girl, experienced or not!
What do You think about Makeup Manual (2008)?
I really thought the info was informative and gave me insight to my own talents and personality.
