Lifeguards in red swimming trunks, Californian beaches firty wear's-his-heart-on-his-sleeve Josh quickly falls for his mentor, Tanner. Tanner hasn't been in a relationship since his divorce one year ago and he's straight, but he finds Josh's attention seductive and well, he is gorgeous, and maybe he's not as straight as he thought he was.Ooh, talk about sexual tension. Very small amount of angst (tiny, tiny) and lots of erections in tight red trunks. Hot and romantic. Yum. Can I just say that I truly and honestly love Joshua? Like, irrationally so. He's so overtly sexual and completely seductive at first. You have no idea what a broken and insecure man he really is. It seems like his growing affection for Tanner just preoccupies his senses. Until he is reminded by his fellow coworkers what his past experiences has taught him. And he's still willing to torture himself because Tanner is just that important to him. What a great fluffalicious read. Chapters 8-9 nearly did me in. Good lord. I will never look at lifeguards the same again.
Almost 4 stars right up until the ending and then pfft! *Throws hands up in frustration.*
