The entire church broke out in laughter and applause as my brother, Angelo DeSilvo, lavishly kissed his new bride, Karen, without waiting for the priest to give him permission. And our outfits were perfect: she’d put us in vibrant dark-red dresses, the same color of the roses we carried in our bouquets, and made of long, strapless sheaths of satin.
