The only series I have abandoned. Why? Because I am I freaking aged! When I started reading these books from hell, all my hair were black now they have grey strands in them. House of Night started out really well. Power to women and the vampires who are actually witches. Freaking tattoos. All of it was accepted but COME ON! NINE! NINE BOOKS and Neferet is still running around! After all that feminist undertone, Zoey or Zoe....i don't even care anymore, she has a thign for Kalona because he is so pretty! Like WOMAN! GET A GRIP! YOU NEED YOU END THIS SERIES! I don't believe it! I was a teenager when I started reading these books from hell ...they just keep going on! WARNING, THERE ARE SOME SPOILERS.I've always been a fan of fantasy books like these in which anything can happen!Now, lets begin with the characters. Zoey's notorious bad luck has me laughing, although I do question why there are just SO MANY guys in her life.. Love triangles are good and fun but when you get to love squares and up, you wonder just what they all see in her. Erik, he's her first boyfriend in the House of Night and breaks up with her after she does the dirty with a teacher. Pause. A TEACHER. Then, she starts doing it a second time and Erik walks in on it. Yet this isn't the end of those two? The twins, Shaunee and Erin, you have to love them! They're connection is very good, although a little hard to believe. Stark and Zoey's immediate attraction was a little fishy. Damien, sweet Damien I love his character and love that he finds Jack. I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried when Neferet killed him. Neferet the evil hag is seriously getting on my nerves with her persistence.Aphrodite is like your Regina George of the school, although when she befriends Zoey and her "nerd herd" it was a surprising plot twist. Her sarcastic comments are very appreciated.***SPOILER ALERT***The twins do come to an end, and it's not a very pretty one considering Erin ends up screwing Dallas. All in all, these books are entertaining, but I find myself losing more and more interest. Although, I think I will finish the series just to find out which guy Zoey ends up with. I'm on book 10.

Totally addicting series. My friend and I can't finish them quick enough. Can't wait for revealed!

I liked reading theses books but some of the sexual parts with Kalona was wierd

The first four books are good...but after that the series just goes downhill.
