Good fun readI didn't expect much from anything where the lead character is a Las Vegas showgirl, so this surprised me in several good ways. Other reviewers persuaded me that it might be worth while, and they were right. The writing style is good and easy to read, and I liked Alyssa Kress's sense of humour. The plot was complex and the author managed to surprise me several times with unexpected twists. There was more depth, a deeper and broader story than most, and far better characterization than I had expected. The sex scenes were part of the story, and not overdone (I'm not into pornographic literature, and this was fine). Alyssa Kress knows how to keep the reader interested, and she does that outstandingly well. This was a wonderfully entertaining light read, and far better than I had hoped. A classic romance - you get what you expect. There are multiple point of views - Kelly, Dean, Troy, and Felicia's. It is quickly discovered whose point of view you are reading. Kelly is almost too good to be true, and it would have been good to have a couple of flaws. Also having Dean's point of view it would have been nice to have a deeper understanding of his transformation. As for Felicia and Troy storyline it should have been a second book. However, as with Dean's transformation it would also have been nice to have more of Felicia's transformation. However, this is a decent light hearted romance.
