This has been a pleasant surprise! My first Laura Landon book & I loved it. Grace & Vincent's story is a treat for the romantics at heart. It's skillfully written & just draws you in. I'm still reeling & sighing. It's such a beautiful story. It had everything from deceit, doubts, intrigue, suspense, love & a beautiful happy ending. Just what I needed!5 stars, highly recommended. Lady Grace Warren has just seen the last of her six sisters enter a happy marriage. And her father has a match for her, but Grace abhors his choice. She does not see a happy ending for herself. She knows only one way to get out of this marriage contract and she goes to her best friend, Hannah, for help in its execution. Vincent Germaine, Duke of Raeborn, has lost two wives to death in childbirth. He vows to never marry, again. Sometimes life has a way of changing our minds. Thus, begins a tale of romance, suspense, and mystery. Quite frankly, I usually find many of the subjects in this book boring, but under the skill of author, Laura Landon, I could not put this book down. While some may see where this tale is going, Ms. Landon knows that it is the journey, not the end that makes a good book, and she always makes sure that her readers savor the journey. Most romance readers know the happy ending is guaranteed, but we still love to revel in the story. Ms. Landon keeps the reader enthralled with excellent character development. One truly feels they know the people and understands them. But the plot keeps the story moving, and the mystery is never boring. For me, if Ms. Landon wrote it, I will read it.
What do You think about Masum Yalan (2014)?
A nice evening's escape, not bad at all.
