Me And My Invisible Guy (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

I give my deepest respect to Sarah Jeffrey for delivering such a moving and emotional story. I'm not sure what I really thought the book was going to be about when I started reading it but it certainly wasn't what I suspected. And I AM certainly glad that it wasn't. Through the eyes of main character Mallory, this book faced many numerous obstacles faced during those all to memorable teenage/high school years. Sex, alcoholism, suicide, depression, STD's, and peer pressure just to name the majority of them. You can't help but feel a multitude of emotions as you get entangled in not only Mallory's life but the life of her friends and family as well. And yes, there is some romance thrown into the mix as well! A book that should be read, especially those in their teenage years. Well written! This was a good quick read. If you add up the time I was reading, it would be only a few hours. But this book was incredibly moving. It taught us readers many things. At first it seemed pretty cliché so I wasn't really sure if I would continue. But I'm surely glad that I did. Although there were many very obvious parts to the story and cliché parts, I still give this five stars. I can't really tell why i liked the book so much. You would just have to read it.

What do You think about Me And My Invisible Guy (2000)?

I light, easy read. Good story. I wasn't aware that Christian YA was a "thing", but I enjoyed it.

Great story, but I wasn't too crazy about the focus on religion. Still a wonderful read.
