This story was Ok. I found it easy to read but it didn't feel particularly exciting. There's not a lot to say. It's a story about two sisters who take on an aunts wishes after she has passed away to run her small antiques business and the relationship with the antique dealer. Pretty simple stuff really. Sometimes felt quite old fashioned. Not something I'd write home about. I enjoyed the last book I read by this author more than this one. A x A French AffairBy Katie FfordeSummary courtesy of goodreads.comGina and Sally Makepiece have inherited a stall in the French House - an antiques centre nestled in the heart of the English countryside.Gina is determined to drag the French House and its grumpy owner into the twenty-first century. Bearing all the attributes of a modern-day Mr Rochester, Matthew Ballinger is less than happy with the whirlwind that has arrived on his doorstep. The last thing either of them want is to fall in love. But will a trip to France change their minds?reviewKatie's books are always a guaranteed great read, and I was looking forward to this one.Katie's writing made me laugh and kept me wondering with the twists and turns she so aptly wove into the story.Gina Makepiece and her sister Sally have inherited their aunt’s small collection of antiques and her stall at the French House, the antiques centre in the Cotswolds where she used to sell the items. Neither woman knows anything about antiques – Sally is a stay-at-home mother and Gina is in PR – but it isn’t long before Gina is throwing herself fully into this new world, eager to learn and to help the French House (and its handsome but grumpy owner, Matthew) thrive. If you enjoy well-written, romantic comedy, give this book a try. I find I can't put her books down until I've reached the final page. This was a great holiday read, it was a light fun read, thatI hadn't read any of Katie Ffjord books before but I was presently surprised how good it was after reading A French Affair I say she has got a new fan for life.3 Stars
What do You think about Met De Franse Slag (2013)?
A bit boring. Hard to move on but it was nice after all
