Well after this I don't know how to read Trace's story. I don't buy this whole friendship and then his mate will have to forever live with the fact that his "best friends"(with whom he did what he did) will have forever bond with him and those memories. Like his mate will just have to deal and have no other choice and that is huge no no for me. Sad. Really liked Trace before this book, now I will not read his book because his HEA with his mate will not be believable after this. Coz sorry, saying that he is like a brother to Sam after she... you know what. Just feel sad for his mate who will get whole explanation of how great Micah and Sam are, and that they helped him and if it wasn't for them he wouldn't make it and love the person now(typical excuse and explanation which happens in the book to justify situations like that). And I'm sure by the end of the book his mate will be thankful to them and their past and will cherish them too. Just ughhh...hate it! Why friends can't stay friends and have amazing bonds! I am so glad this novella was written. I read this book before I read Rebel Obsession, which is where you are supposed to have read it and looking back there are a few things in the next book that you just would not have understood as much if you do not read this.As the title says this novella is set during the time of Micah’s calling as him and Sam are growing closer and getting to know each other a lot better. However not only does this novella give us more Micah and Sam hotness but it also lets us see more into their relationship as well as how Trace fits in with them. It provides a little background on Trace also and I for one can’t wait to read Trace’s story. He is so powerful but also so vulnerable. I enjoyed Sam getting introduced into the BDSM lifestyle as well as starting to find herself and what she desires.There is a lot to this short novella that really adds a lot of background to these three and I would definitely recommend reading this if you are reading the AKM’s series.*I received this book free from a tour in exchange for an honest review.*
So good, love the whole Trace Micah and Sam thing. Fast read, only wish it was longer.
