Another great book by Cynthia Eden. Midnight Sins has everything that I love in a book. Lots of suspense, mystery, romance, and action.Well written and fast paced. It was very hard to put down. This wasn’t just a paranormal romance, it was a great mystery, a real who-done-it.In this installment, we get to know more about Detective Todd Brooks who we first me in Hotter After Midnight. Brooks, like most other humans was blind to what’s really out in the world, the fact that are Other Supernaturals walking among us. But he’s getting a really quick lesson and opening his eyes to it all. Todd Brooks is a real “good” cop, who truly does fight to help the people who can’t help themselves. In comes Cara, a succubus or demon with lots of secrets of her own. Even though she’s the succubus, she can’t resist Todd Brooks, who seems to be able to resist her “Demon” powers. She’s never met someone who could do that, so her attraction to him is even greater. Cara is the prime suspect of a series of murders. It’s up to Todd and his partner, Colin to figure out who done it.Excellent series, very easy read and very enjoyable. I may was discouraged by the first book but I certainly enjoyed this one. But why? Maybe because the author had a consistency in her story and managed to create some characters you would love to hear their story? The setting was already familiar by the first book. The PDA, "Paradise Found", the news channel, the Doc and much more made the town where Humans and Other were walking and stories were unfolding. The author gave us the story of detective Todd Brooks and Cara between mystery, murders and plenty of succubus sex. Todd had caught my interest by the first book and Cara was just as fabulous.
What do You think about Midnight Sins (2008)?
Interesting take on incubi and succubi intermingling with humans.
