what a book. The characters are so well written and complex that you tend to forget that their fictional, and what a plot! Diane Chamberlain knows how to tug on your emotions and make you think about the issue at hand, her writing of this novel is very reminiscent of a Jodi Piccoult novel. Both women use controversial issues to get the reader to think and place themselves into the character's life. Loved every moment reading this novel and look forward to more by Diane Chamberlain. The unfinished letter is the only clue Tara and Emerson have to the reason behind their close friend Noelle's suicide. Everything they knew about Noelle—her calling as a midwife, her passion for causes, her love for her friends and family—described a woman who embraced life.This was a page turner, and while some of the outcomes seemed alittle far fetched, I enjoyed the book immensely. 4 1/2 enjoyable stars.
Good book; however, it seems that with all of Diane Chamberlains books, her endings are very abrupt.
