1. I loved the quotes, Bible verses, and anecdotes within the book. They made the book come alive. Like the quote in this book by Thomas Keller said, "A recipe has no soul. You, as the cook must bring soul to the recipe." Miss Kay's stories bring soul to this book.2. I look forward to trying many of these recipes out. I'm a little tentative about some of them because of their nature, some because I'm lazy and don't want to work that long on them, and some because I have no clue where I would find the ingredients. But there are so many easy and easy to find ingredient recipes in this book, too.3. I think it's really neat and special that Kay wrote this book with Korie's mom, Chrys Howard.4. The love that their family has for each other is inspiring and contagious.5. I also loved all of the food and family pictures included in the book.6. I wouldn't mind owning this book. Hint hint, husband.7. I also love that she doesn't assume that you know things. She breaks down what she means by certain things: even boiling eggs! This book goes through Kay's husband and sons favorite dishes, the dishes her daughters' in laws like to make, kids foods, and food for a crowd.I haven't tried the recipes yet, but the book was set up with a cute antidote at the beginning of each chapter and tips throughout.Not a fan of how the book was laid out: if you are looking for how to cook an item specifically then it could be hard to find that item flipping through the pages. However, the meals did have good twists to them that I can't wait to try!
