"16 year old Lucy just had the worst week ever. Seriously, mega bad. And suddenly, it's all too much—she wants out. Out of her house, out of her head, out of her life. She wants to be a whole new Lucy. So she does something the old Lucy would never dream of.And now her life will never be the same. Because now- she has HIV..."This is an amazingly insightful and educating book! It's impossible to read it and not sympathize with Lucy and her life after she contracted the awful virus. The thing I love the most about this book is the fact that it makes you think! The social dilemmas it rises shouldn't be ignored- because while this book is a work of fiction it's totally legit, and you can never know where you or the guy next to you will end up! It never ceases to amaze me how one choice can totally change a person's life forever. One drunk and stupid choice, one night of forgetting her troubles, leads to Lucy becoming HIV positive. I loved that once she lets people in, they stand behind her. I loved that she didn't let it stand in her way of following her dreams. Other books I have read about HIV are so negative and depressing, this one wasn't. Wouldn't mind revisiting Lucy in another book...see how she is doing in the future.

Such a great book and not a topic you read about everyday.
