More Information Than You Require (2008) - Plot & Excerpts
I can understand why somebody would like this one. I totally get it. This assortment of fake facts has a lot of silly and fun things to offer you, but after listening to more than half of it, I don't think I can really go on.I just cannot justify the time to listen to an audiobook about fake facts for hours on end. I suppose if I had a copy of the book to read, it would be easier to thumb through it over time, but it is a really daunting experience.Yes, there are some funny parts. Yes, it is really silly. But it's efforts to be that "silly random" kind of funny just get a little old after awhile, and you can shove in all the guest stars in the world, Paul Rudd, Rachel Maddow, and dozens more people but this just wasn't meant to be an audiobook. John Hodgman, you may recall, plays the stereotypical "PC" on the Mac/PC commercials. He has an incredible dry wit is incredibly refreshing and his insights and information(though, admittedly, more than I require)are 100% useless, made up, and yet... entertaining.I'm actually listening to this on audio CD. I've come to find out this is the preferred method of "reading" his book because not only does John read it himself, he performs it with a sidekick and celebrity cameos (Paul Rudd for one). I'm only 1/3 through this book, but it is so enjoyable to me that I had to create a goodreads account and comment on it.More to come upon my completing it.

Listening to this audiobook caused me to have Makeout Dreams about the author. Yes, with mustache.

Gave up on reading this. I like John Hodgman in general, but maybe in small doses.
