This book has potential, but! There is no substance, no plot, all I hear is "damn! I can't have her but I want her" and "he doesn't feel the same way" right after they kissed. For crying out loud! Stop. Just stop. The character is weak, I haven't seen any development, and they are just running around in circles of each other. And their "male rages" come on. You don't have to have "blood boiling through my veins because I can't handle it if she's with another man" just shut up. After reading both Anywhere With You (AWY) and More With You (MWY) back to back, I decided to combine their reviews. AWY was about a guy, Liam, and girl, Allison, hung up on each other but unwilling to date because the guy isn't sure he can commit and the girl isn't willing to be a fling. MWY was about a guy, Aidan (who happens to be Liam' s roommate/BFF and Allison's unofficial adoptive brother) and a girl, Hailey (who happens to be Liam' s sister and Allison's roommate/BFF) who are hung up on each other but unwilling to risk their friendship. Both books drag on for way too long without enough variety in the story. AWY gets to the point quickly but then takes for ever to conclude. I expected some sort of complication to occur but it never happened. MWY buzzes around the same complication for the entire book and takes way to long to get to the point. The writing in both books is awkward and forced rather than smooth an natural. The characters are almost comical because they are so extreme in all of their behavior. The men are over-protective, jealous, cavemen-teddy bears. The women coy and in need of protection, coddling and are super inexperienced but ready for anything with the men they love. If half stars were allowed, I would give it 2 1/2. I rounded to 3 though it certainly didn't deserve 3. I didn't give it less because while it was poorly written, I was interested enough to want to finish both.
