Morgen Kommt Ein Neuer Himmel (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
The fictional book, The Life List, by Lori Nelson Spielman is a fantastic novel with the theme of finding the life you truly desire. In this book, when Brett Bohlinger’s mother dies, Brett’s life is turned upside down. In order to collect her hefty inheritance, Brett must complete a list of life goals she wrote when she was fourteen. With the help of her mother’s attorney who quickly becomes a close friend, Brett lives out the dreams of her childhood, and grows to be the person her mother always knew she would be. I thought this book was a fantastic and riveting novel that perfectly balanced triumphs with heartache. I completely agree with Spielman that it is important to live life to the fullest, and never forget your dreams. This book raised the issue of security within one’s life and sticking with the ordinary or gambling on the possibility of everything you have ever wanted. This style of writing reminded me of Sarah Dessen in that you immediately grow attached to the characters, and feel their emotions with them. This book really caused me to evaluate my life and the path I’m on to make sure I’m going in the direction I want to spend the rest of my life in. This book is a fantastic, encouraging novel I think everyone should read. It really makes you reflect on your own life and encourages you to be the best version of yourself. I hope you enjoy this great, heartfelt story.
What do You think about Morgen Kommt Ein Neuer Himmel (2013)?
Privileged Brett finds herself reeling after the loss of her beloved mother, founder of a successful cosmetics company. Fully expecting to inherit her mother's shares of the company and take the helm, Brett is stunned to learn her inheritance is dependent on the completion of a Life List she drafted when she was 14 years old. The resulting story is one of Brett discovering herself, love, and what really creates a happy ending. Overall, a pleasant read. The story kept my attention and I was drawn to the characters. Put this one in a nice vacation read category.

3.5. I loved the premise. loved the HEA. some parts were too corny, but I definitely wanted to keep reading. the time frame was a little unbelievable. brad annoyed me calling Brett BB. too many heavy subjects in a short time span and kept thinking it was unfair why the daughter was singled out even though it was rationally explained. liked Brett. could totally relate to her trying to figure out what she wants from life...
