Mortal Danger And Other True Cases (2008) - Plot & Excerpts
I like Ann Rule, I have a hard time writing reviews for True Crime, there is not much you can say about the story line, they are reporting what actually happened. That being said, the author does have to pick a case that will be interesting and then has to write it in a way that holds your attention.I feel Ann Rule does both of those things and does them well. She writes in such a way you can feel her compassion for the victims. She conveys the feelings the detectives have for cases. The only ones that you end up with no sympathy for are the bad guys! Absolutely spellbinding! Shocking to what an extent we as human beings will go for "love" when reading this I wondered how come why did the victims not remove themselves from their often volatile situation. The story about "Amy" is horrific, how could this have happened?, in spite of all the precautions. I love all Ann's books and her involvement in violence against women, and what can be done about it, how subtle this violence can start off, the importance of checking backgrounds of persons,as often there seem to be clues, or missing info on previous years.
What do You think about Mortal Danger And Other True Cases (2008)?
The first story was a little slow, but the rest of them were pretty good.
