Michelle catches her best friend and fiancé together and takes off for a mountain resort when a snowstorm hits. Then her car breaks down and she gets out and runs into 2 unsavory characters but, luckily, Jason, the firefighter, comes along and rescues her.I liked the story even though I wasn't too fond of the heroine who lacked common sense and was a bit too weepy for my personal taste. It is a novella so not a lot of development. But it managed to build a decent plot and contain a little heat. Not too bad for a novella. I throughly enjoyed reading MOUNTAIN HERO by Cheryl Yeko!Michelle Starr has car trouble as she travels to the Rocky Mountains to the cabin she has rented for the week during a snow storm, after a breakup with Bill before their wedding because he cheated with her best friend. Getting out of the stalled car, she walks around a curve and sees nothing but the mountain road ahead and freezing, she starts walking back to the car. She then sees a car coming and flags down the car with two male occupants. The men's appearence terrorizes her and she realizes she's in bad trouble.Jason Taylor discovers an abandoned car with a purse inside as he is heading home from a long shift at the fire station. After rounding the curve, he notices two men had a woman trapped between them. After seeing that she is frightened, he informs the men that he will not leave without the woman going with him. After an altercation between the two men and him, Jason and the woman run into the woods and the men steal Jason's truck, shot the tires of Michelle's car and stole her purse and duffle bag from her car. Without the protection of her mountain hero, Michelle would have possibly been raped and killed by the dangerous men.Jason carried her out of the trees, across the road toward the foot of the mountain that runs beside the road. He sprints to an opening in a small cave betweem the rock walls, giving them shelter from the raging snow storm. That is just the first two chapters of Cheryl Yeko's book, MOUNTAIN HERO. What comes next will keep you entertained with the romantic, suspenseful, thrilling saga and a unique way Jason has of easing Michelle's panic attack and migraine. OH boy, I sure would love to stop my migraines that way.Michelle's brother, Zack, finds them in the opening of the rock wall and rescues them. Then Jason and Zack go looking for the men who stole Jason's truck. More suspense! Cheryl Yeko knows how to keep a reader guessing until the last page. I look forward to reading more of this amazing author's books.
