Multiply: Disciples Making Disciples (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

Chan and Platt have done, I think, a pretty remarkable job of making the disciple-making process clearly and properly understood, and introduced a related Bible study to accompany the process that lends itself to using the book as the basis for one-on-one or small group study focus. I would love to hear from friends who may have already looked into this, and see what they might think are appropriate modifications to the material to make it better still. For example, I had previously gone through the "Disciplers International" process, and have spoke to others who have been with Navigators, and see parallels that might make Multiply even better. And the authors introduce Chan's "The Forgotten God" which I now feel I have to look into, also. Pray with me that this may turn out to be useful as help to Vine & Branches Lutheran Church. Francis always does a wonderful job of really getting to the core of everything he teaches. Lately, he's focus has been all about disciple-making, which I agree wholeheartedly! This book is great for new believers in that it gives a general heartbeat of the Biblical narrative as well as showing a biblical case why we MUST make disciples as the fundamental mission of our lives. This book is helpful for long time believers who may have lost focus in their vision and the reason of their salvation. I've also used this book for my confirmation/baptism class for high school students and have received great feedback!
