Libby gave her a disarming smile. ‘Fran wasn’t going to have anything to do with any more so-called psychic investigations, you see,’ she said. ‘Pity she can’t switch off.’ ‘Exactly,’ said Fran with relief. ‘But perhaps it wasn’t that. Perhaps it was just a sort of strange seasickness.’ ‘Do you feel sick?’ asked Jane, moving backwards. ‘Not in the least,’ said Fran cheerfully. ‘Well, if you’re OK now, I’d better go and hand round some more bread.’ ‘Yes, I’m fine, Jane.
