Murder On The Côte D'Azure (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
I received this book as part of the first read program. Thank you for the book. Right from the beginning we follow Maggie's travels to the South of France. She falls in love and rescues her sister's child only to return to the US with trouble following her. Love also follows her back from France with lots of twists and turns and avoiding any spoilers...there is a surprise twist at the end. Took too long to thinly develop characters. Couldn't decide if it was to be an action, a drama, a murder-mystery, a light-reading chick lit, or classic literature. Lots of possibility, but nothing to hold it together and keep you reading. It was as though the author took sections from different ideas she had and tried to merge them into one book. OK, but not one to take as your only book on vacation for certain.
What do You think about Murder On The Côte D'Azure (2011)?
It moved way too slow and felt contrived for some reason. I didn't find it believable at all.
