Must've Done Something Good (2009) - Plot & Excerpts
I know this book got a lot of good reviews, but I just didn't enjoy it all that much. It was a simple read, and I suppose good for a weekend at the beach, but it just didn't keep my attention. The writing itself wasn't very good, and I kept waiting for something to actually happen (it never really did). I had the whole plot figured out about halfway through the novel. The revelation at the end that Evan was actually a very wealthy man was just too much for me to believe. I just feel it wasn't worth my time. I expected this book to have a bit more of a romance aspect to it, and in that I was disappointed. The romance is definitely not in the forefront of the story.I found the writing to be very dry, and bogged down in many areas with too many details on exactly the opposite parts you'd want details on. And then the resolutions to the main issues were just lacking - they were quickly and vaguely explained away, again without the details where you'd want them!
What do You think about Must've Done Something Good (2009)?
Brilliant. Sad it had to end, but maybe we'll hear more from Sylvie someday...?
