Super fast plot and rather funny writing. I get tired of books featuring the combo of violent older siblings and clueless parents, but it does provide space for a story to happen. The humor had more depth than I expected and the excellent minor characters provide balance to the zany plot. Great cover, unfortunate use of the word "moron". This would be a good next step for fans of Dragonbreath and Franny K. Stein, I think kids who enjoyed this one would like N.E.R.D.S. Recommended for ages 7-11. 4.t stars per my sonI read this to my 10yo son. This review is a synopsis of our discussion after the reading the book. The 2 protagonists of the book were both little brothers who were neighbors and best friends. They had a lot in common, both having big brothers who were "mostly evil" and trying to take over the world. One big brother attempts an evil science experiment which goes wrong and ends up producing a zombie goldfish after the little brothers bring him back to life. The goldfish is cool because he knows that the little brothers are the good guys and the older brothers are the bad guys. Frankie, the zombie goldfish protects the little brothers and is out to get one of the "mostly evil" big brothers. It all ends well and is funny and cool.
my 10 yr old loved it, said it was really good! used it for his comprehension homework ;)
