While this is a sweet story of Lucas, who has been pining for his fathers best friend Mitchell for years and with the help of dear ol' dad actually gets his man! I do appreciate dad's ingenuity! I don't mind the 17 yr age difference, I just have to try and forget that MItchell must have seen Lucas grow up, maybe changed his diaper and babysat him...that part makes me a little uncomfortable. This story isn't a squicky as it could be, thanks to the absence of Daddy/boy relationship dynamics and the clear desire of the older man to have an *equal* partnership with the younger one. But the prose is painfully awkward throughout. I noticed that Griffin just started publishing stories in 2011, so with any luck this is one of her earliest efforts -- and, hopefully, she will improve her writing technique with more practice.

Short, sweet and hot. What better way to spend Christmas, than with cowboys in Aussie :)
