Holy hell! For those that read book 1, you already know what happens in the end of this book, but it didn't make it any easier to read. Tears! And it was so effing bittersweet bc he finally realized something epic and was about to do something grand with it and well, crap...The entire book, you feel happy and sad and especially sad for Rachel bc not only does eamon have her on a yo-yo and u root for them to be together, but you know what is going to happen and you hate that you are rooting for them bc there can be no happy. Talk about emotions! But, darn if that wasn't a great book! Loved it! Can't wait for more!!"I think when you give enough of yourself to a person and they do the same, it changes you, it changes them."This book is like watching a train wreck, no pun intended. If you have read My Heart for Yours then you know no good can come to your heart from reading this, but if you are like me and loved it then you can't help but want to learn more about the mysterious Eamon and so you read it and fall in love and break your own heart just for fun, because you have nothing better to do on a Saturday night lol. This story starts shortly before My Heart for Yours although it is interwoven with memories from the past as is the first book. It tells the story of Tobin's brother Eamon and Rachel's relationship. (I'm going to have to reread the first book bc I was too wrapped up in Tobin and Delia to pay her any attention)Eamon is a very original character. In some ways he is fearless, very careless and seems to live life to the fullest.. but when it comes to love and commitment in all areas of life he is very fearful and runs away. He is also funny, charming and very endearing. As much as he screws up and frustrates you there is something that draws you in and want to root for him and know more about him. Then you have Rachel. She has been friends with Eamon since she was 5 and in love with him since she was 13. Rachel is very likable and can only be described as selfless, brave, and strong. The writing is simple yet beautiful and it flows well. I get bored easily and skim, but didn't catch myself doing that with this story. I previously haven't notice many of errors in previous books by these two ladies, but did notice quite a few words missing or words repeated here and there.. nothing terribly distracting though.Overall, this a bittersweet story, but I really enjoyed it. I'm glad I learned more about Eamon and I hope one of the future books continues Rachel's story. I would definitely recommend this book and My Heart For Yours (One of my all time favs). Although this was written second, I would recommend reading it first.
What do You think about My Fate For Yours (2000)?
I knew the ending and still cried! Great Prequel to My Heart for Your!
