Mark Compton has met his match or we think he has in, Ms Smith. Maybe it's the other way around Ms. Crystal Smith has met her match in Mark? How ever they play with each other to see who dominates who, this book is still a tempting morsel of a read. It is all from Mark's POV so we get to see what is going through his head as he deals with the tragedy and loss of control he has found himself with.I liked reading what his thoughts were as he was sitting listening to the police investigate the case. I was even more intrigued to see what his thoughts of Crystal would be and if she would be the one that finally gives him the comfort he so desperately needs. A great follow up to book 3 in the Inside Out Series, only one problem. It leaves you wanting more so you should prepare to be in for the long haul as you read this book and the amazing series that Lisa has given us!@NetGalley This novella gives us a glimpse into Mr. Compton and his ways. Although in this series Chris Merit clearly has my heart, Mark has his own strong points. He is trying to keep everything together both at home - with Rebecca's loss being confirmed - and at work with both galleries and in Sara's absence as she is out with Chris. Mark meets Crystal and begins a journey where is not a willing participant. . . . or so he is trying to convenience himself.
