My Lord Vampire is a good book. It does not have any graphic violence or sex but does have adult relationships. This book is about a vampire who has spent centuries living away from humans but must once again walk among them. He has came out to protect a women in society who possesses an amulet with imaginable power from a rouge vampire who has chosen to go back to the violence which goes with blood lust. It was an interesting story which was fun to read. The first book in the Immortal Rogues series.I found this book to be entertaining. I love the idea that a Veil was created for the vampires to live in peace where they don't feel the urges to feed off humans and such. Makes the vampires way easier to become the heroes like Gideon, whose job was to travel back to the mortal realm and protect his kind from power hungry rogue vampires.Gideon is sent to protect Simone, a human who was given one piece of a special medallion that wields great power. She doesn't know it possesses that power, only that it was given to her by a gypsy.The book isn't very long but it's effective in moving the pace along and deals quite well with both sides of the vampiric coin -- Gideon and his distaste for killing and Tristan, the power hungry rogue vampire who takes great pleasure in seeing humans suffer by his hands.Quite enjoyed that read and really want to find Lucien and Sebastien's stories to see how the rest unfold! Would recommend it to anyone who enjoys paranormal romances.
I could not get into this new series. I actually did not finish the book, I got bored.
