Am I the only reader who thinks that Jos is more irrational than Taylor in the first book. I thought that she was going to drop the attitude along the story but she did not. The story was really good but I think it can be written in a better way. On the other hand, I like Dusty's character. He is cocky, funny and witty that is why I really like him; and she put up with all the attitude Jos was giving him which I admire so much, by the way. I really like the story but I really think that the author can do a much better job. I also like the setting at their house; it is pretty cool that they are living together. I think that it would be really fun to that. Novel received courtesy of Goodreads.com giveawayWhen reading a "romance" novel, I always hope that I won't be wasting my time, that the plot will be fresh and new and that the characters will be believable. "My Sweetest Escape" hit all of those benchmarks and more! The plot was different from anything I've read while still having the familiar tug-of-war with feelings and the required "Happily Ever After" ending.I found the characters very believable; college kids with college-age problems. However, Jos Archer has some secrets that she's not willing to share. She has been shipped to live with her older sister and her friends. I devoured this novel over the course of 2 days, unable to put it down for long. She meets Dusty almost as soon as she arrives and they both know that something is brewing between them. What they don't know is that they each carry a secret that will have to be dealt with before they can be together.I hope this author continues to write. I'll be interested to follow her development.
What do You think about My Sweetest Escape (2014)?
Stopped at 40%...just couldn't get into it. May revisit at a later time.

It was good, but not as good as "My Favorite Mistake".
