I had a feeling I would like this book when I read what it was about. What I didn't realize was how much I would enjoy it. I loved it. I love Kylie. I love her story and the journey she is on and how she isn't like other girls who just say "YOLO" and take the easy road. The twist at the end had me in tears which is what ultimately makes this a five star for me. I had suspicions but the twist wasn't what I saw coming. I can't wait for book two! Vampires? Witches? Werewolves, shapeshifters, and fairies? In C.C. Hunter’s first book in the Shadow Falls series, Born at Midnight, you are introduced to Kylie, a normal, popular teenage girl with boy problems and party drama. Or at least she thought she was normal. Her parents are in the middle of a divorce, she’s developed a stalker, and is being shipped away to a summer camp with a bunch of “freaks” and her best friend might be pregnant. Kylie’s world is spiraling down. Little does she know that the “freaks” are actually supernaturals; shapeshifters, vampires, werewolves, and fairies or “fae” and that she’ll fit in at the camp better than she fit in at school. At the camp, Kylie has to go on a quest to find out what her true identity is, and makes two new best friends along the way who are also her cabin mates. She gets sucked into a love triangle or to be more precise, a love square, between her ex-boyfriend and two boys at camp. This book kept me turning pages and I highly recommend it.
What do You think about Nacida A Medianoche (2013)?
