Oh this could have been longer for me. There was a great plot builder which could have been given more mileage, and might have created a more tense and dramatic story. On the other hand, you got to appreciate an author who doesn't drag stuff out, and keeps everything tight and controlled.(hmm, did I just contradict myself there? huh.)Anyway, Vance is great as the hulking alpha cowboy, and Adam is great at pretending to be a hulking alpha male. I was wondering what would happen when they made it to the bedroom - who would roll over (literally)? I found out...The sexy times are sweet and sexy and there are a couple of quite moving moments. Good stuff. 3.75 starsI'm such a sucker for cowboy stories and this one did not disappoint for me. This story is pretty predictible from the beginning of how it is going to play out, but that was okay for me. I liked both Vance and Adam. I think that for some people it may not work if they are expecting a lot of tension and angst because the story really didn't have that. I kind of wished that it would have been longer, even though I don't like drawn out stories, but it would have been nice to have more tension. This is the prequel to Too Much Christmas Spirit, which takes place 9 years later, so there would still be an opportunity for the author to give us more about these two and the ranch.
What do You think about New York Cowboy (2013)?
Engaging story, though I didn't like one of the MCs too much- good characters overall tho.
