Niezbędnik Obserwatorów Gwiazd (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
This book is really good so far There are three high school senior basketball players. One is findly who is a point guard. He has a girlfriend who also loves basketball. He doesn't talk much because of his mothers death. Another one of the seniors is Russ Washington. Russ doesn't really want to play because he plays the same position and same number as Findly. He likes findly and doesn't want to take his position The book chosen for my library’s teen book club this month is titled Boy 21. I’ve heard of the book before, but only now have I had a reason to read it. Turns out, it was an amazing novel and I wish I had gotten an epilogue at the end of the book.Overall Opinion:This is a really touching novel. The first half of the novel was extremely funny, but as you get closer and closer to the end, you may want to shed a fears tears. What I Liked:*Russ’ mental state. If this were to happen in real life, laughing at this guy would not be the way to go, but I couldn’t help it. It’s horrible that he lost his parents, but the guy’s always talking about space and how his (dead) father is going to come pick him up in a spaceship. It’s hard to take him seriously.*The Irish mob. You don’t see much of the mob in this novel, but you hear about them. The history behind them gets darker and darker the more you read and you see how it affected Finley, the main character.*Mr. Gore and the Coach. I love how these two men kind of switch roles by the end of the novel. Mr. Gore’s the annoying, nosy man while the Coach is structured and out to get the job done. However, later on Mr. Gore seems to be a little more understanding while the Coach refuses to get involved anymore in Finley’s life because his family’s connected to the mob. What I Was ‘Ehh’ About:*The tone of the novel. The majority of the time, I didn’t feel like I was reading about seniors in high school. Instead, I felt like I was reading about eight graders. Not’s not bad in itself, but it was confusing-the tone of the book.
What do You think about Niezbędnik Obserwatorów Gwiazd (2013)?
A remarkable and transformative story about friendship, loss, mental health and hope.

More like a 3.5 stars, but I believe in rounding up. :)
