I hard a really hard time with the first half of this book. Thought about giving up on it and the author and took a long time to slog through it.I loved the second half. What wasn't to love: insane asylums, brains in jars, bodysnatching, evil Doctors, etc. The second half, I read very quickly as it was much more entertaining. So maybe like a 2 for the first half and a 3.5 for the second. I really enjoy fluffy mystery novels like these. Ones where the protagonist is light, fun and interesting, she isn’t perfect, but she’s also not TSTL. I especially enjoy them when the mystery isn’t too easy to figure out. The books in the Pepper Martin series are fun, perfect summer reading with just the right amount of love interest, intrigue and mystery. As much as I love books like this, I don’t think I would ever own them unless given to me as a prize in a contest or as a present. But I definitely recommend them to anyone who loves fun, flighty mysteries. There really isn’t anything different to say about each book as they follow the same formula and saying more than that would give away the plot of the book.
What do You think about Night Of The Loving Dead (2009)?
Not nearly as good as the previous books. It was disjointed and much less entertaining.

No more! Pepper is just way too aggravating anymore. This was Pepper & Dan.
