What can I say? This is my kind of book. The 4 star rating is because it delivers what I wanted it to deliver. A classic LMR hero, some action, some good lovin' (although I'm not sure how I feel with LMR's transition to using the word vagina constantly as that is such an unsexy word). There were some other elements that I really liked (LMR's hero, Mike, coming to a realization that being a man slut was something to be embarrassed about and that it might ruin his chances with a woman he really cared about); some elements that I didn't (Lordy what was with the constant popping up of the previous two couples and the constant reassurance that their lives were as disneyfied as possible). All told, though, I was sad that the book ended and that I have to wait another year? 6 months? for another LMR book. Mike Keillor meet Chloe Mason. Chloe is a woman who has a childhood filled with many hospitals visits. Now as a beautiful young woman she is determined to find her long lost brother Harry. When she stumbles upon Harry, she comes eye to eye with Mike Keillor. Mike is a former Marine sniper and SWAT officer. .He is as tough as nails, just like the rest of his "brothers" until he’s blindsided by something he never expected, love. Like any other hardcore ex military man, he doesn't want to show his feelings because he thinks he's too tough for things like that. I think even though the story kind of starts slow is what turns some people off... but take it from me you'll love the twists and turns that happen!Chloe accidentally comes across the Russian mob, but with Mike, Harry and Sam by her side things seem to be okay. But Mike realizes that evil is darkening his world once again. After everything that has happened to Mike failure is not an option.The Protectors series is what started my obsession with reading books about ex military/current military men who end up with a sex life that is one to make me jealous.

*sigh* ....disappointing....a huge step down from what i've read of hers previously.
