No Weddings (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story of renewed trust. A story of learning to give life and love another chance. Cade and Hannah have both lost faith that people can truly love and that they can be loved. It happens in the most embarrassing and hurtful of ways but they happen. Now they have to learn to trust first in friendship then in love.I think that reading this refreshing take on a romance that has the couple learning to overcome their scarred hearts, is the way that Hannah and Cade first begin. They build a relationship based on honesty and a true friendship that becomes more than they ever expected. Hannah a magnificent cake maker and Cade the business genius come together with his sisters to form an event planning company. But Cade and his sisters have a clause for her as he truly does not want to do Weddings. Now being a cake maker that seems like a hard thing for Hannah to give up, and this is where our couple develop their relationship... in compromise and understanding of each others needs.Beautifully written, Kat gives us a story that is heartfelt and and hysterically funny. I loved every minute of it! @NetGalley#NetGalley Both Cade and Hannah are still reeling from their separate heartbreaks and their cruel exes. When Cade and his sisters take on a new business venture they bring Hannah into the mix as their baker. As Cade and Hannah become wary friends, they have no idea how much their lives are about to change…A belly-laughing romantic comedy to thrill you to the core! I smiled (and laughed often) the whole way through this sexy, sweetly romantic story. The male point of view was not only delightful, but a very nice change for the romance reader. It was tastefully written and Cade was charming and oh-so-sweet to Hannah, even in the midst of all of their sexual frustration. The sexual innuendo between them was not only fun, but added to their frustration…along with the reader! Ms. Bastion and her husband make a fabulous writing duo and I hope they choose to stay with it even after this series is complete. The male point of view gives us insight into what the hero is thinking and it really made this story click for me. This is one series I won't miss and I'll be there every step of the way!
