I was VERY disappointed when I found out the last book was a graphic novel. The previous books were works of art and to change that at the very end killed me. I just felt jipped and it wasn't as enjoyable to read. The ending was kind of wishy-washy and I felt it could have been better. I would love to see a novel version of this to come out and for the ending to be more solidified, otherwise it was still good. Stolarz creates a typical teen romance in this intriguing graphic novel. Though the story may be typical and the characters stereotypical, Stolarz uses intriguing art to further her story. Her unique panels on the sides which brings insights to readers and creates an intriguing experience. A very short read lacking in depth and imagination. Teens will probably very much enjoy but with a short read time of 1 hour many teachers and parents might object to its literary value. Entertaining but lacking depth and sophistication. However, Stolarz presents a glimmer into this genre's potential.
i did love the illustrations and the flow of the story. will be looking forward to her other works.
