This is the first I have read from Laura Ward and have to say it was quick, funny and romantic. I loved that Emma is not your usual heroine all into sex and love. Her family is important to her and she will do anything for them including sacrificing her own happiness. Now Landon at times he seemed too cocky yet when it comes to Emma you can see how genuine his love is towards her. One thing I liked the most in the book was that no matter how much you deny it love will find a way to get into your heart. All in all this was a good book and can’t wait for more of Laura Ward. WowI got this book because my 4 year old picked it. When i have a hard time picking i let him.I am so happy he picked this one!Emma has her life all planned out she is Ready to start her life and live it. But fate has other plans for her. To do the right thing for the sister she loves, Emma’s dreams will just have to wait. The sacrifice Emma has made for her family is so heart warming. The love she has for her older sister it brought tears to my eyes. Working at a country club as the pool manager is where she meets Landon, a rich, flirtatious jock. Landon knows right away he wants Emma but she isn't having any of his game. She is his summer project. He never met anyone like her. She puts out this ice queen attitude to keep people away but he wont let her keep him away. Watching her every day work with kids and special needs kids makes him rethink his way of life. She makes him feel like being a better person.This was their summer romance she didn't want to hold him back from the collage experience by asking him to be true to her. They became best friends. they loved each other but didn't say the words out loud.At the end of summer and with Landon football camp she gets what she has been waiting for a job.This is were she finds out Landon's lie. What he kept from her. Feeling broken that she fell for someone for them to turn around and betray her trust she is heart broken.He wont give her up he is willing to wait for her. she always loved him she could never stopIf i keep going i will spoil this and i wont do that.This was a fantastic book that made me believe in true love.This book brought me out of a depressed state i was in.Emma and Landon's love was amazing their chemistry blinding.I wanted to slap Landon for his lies but you cant help but love him no matter what and hope she will forgive him. He changed so much because of her he became a better person.This is a what love should be like a strong connection that no matter what will grow stronger.Must Readi haven't been able to get this out of my head all day todayim in book hangover mood and im telling you read this book!
I liked the change in this story was a little soft but really enjoyed their journey ;-)
