Nuits Interdites Avec Un Vampire (2000) - Plot & Excerpts
DNF - Will try the book listed as #1 and see if I can get through it.Written at 1st or 2nd grade level (if most books are written at 3rd grade level LOL). Interesting story, but I can only read so many 5 or 6 word sentences before I get bored and choose a different book. The list of books by the author in the front of this book seemed to indicate this was first in the series, but I see it isn't and that's another issue with the book ... no world building here, just vague references that would remind readers of the first 6 books of things like "he burped a lot". Just kidding but you catch my drift. Not enough info to matter, just enough to break up the story line.BTW, the author is in good company; one of Terry Goodkind's recent books had the same fault of very short sentences altho they were less simplistic. Definitely one of my favorites from the 'Love at Stake' series for sure! The main reason why: because Vanda and Phil's relationship is much more realistic than many of the others. Vanda and Phil have a past together, and instead of doing a total freak out over finding out he's a werewolf, she gets over it pretty quickly until all the other women.I was intrigued and slightly frustrated by Phil's sister, Brynly though. I hope we see more of her in the series.
What do You think about Nuits Interdites Avec Un Vampire (2000)?
Probably the most action-packed story so far and slightly darker than the previous books.
