I really wanted to give this three and a half rather than four - but not just three. While I enjoyed the book and thought some aspects were particularly well written there were some parts that grated a bit. I think I must be a bit of a pedant - but there were just a couple too many coincidences for me - things being washed ashore that conveniently made their life possible - including shampoo and soap that lasted for three years!Having said that I do think she got the relationship on the island spot on and was glad that the story did not end there too. It was an interesting and easy read and certainly a step up from chick lit type books which are not my favourite style. If this is her first book then I am sure she is going to develop into a great writer. A great holiday read. Wow.From the opening passage of this story, I LOVED this book. The premise of this story was a good one and the writing superb. I loved the turn-about in character point-of-views which made the story all the richer and had the added bonus of showing the reader how the characters grow, change and adapt to their surroundings and growing feelings for each other. The slow build-up of awareness over the years was wonderfully done making what could have been an 'icky' relationship a beautiful one instead. I highly recommend to all.
