Altijd goede verhalen gehoord over Karin Slaughter, toch is dit pas het eerste boek dat ik van haar lees en hij viel me erg tegen. Ik kon geen respect opbrengen voor iemand die Zich van het begin tot het eind door werkelijk iedereen laat ondersneeuwen. Bovendien is het verhaal me iets te onwerkelijk. Al maak ik op uit andere reviews dat dit ook werkelijk haar slechtste boek zou moeten zijn. Laten we het hopen dat dit niet haar werkelijke schrijfstijl is. An entertaining short read featuring a cast of outlandish characters and colorful dialogue. At the heart of the story is how easily a person's actions can be misunderstood. The two quiet and unassuming lead characters of the story are so misunderstood by everyone around them, that their lives are manipulated and fabricated beyond belief - and not in a good way. A great introduction to a crime author I haven't read before. Publishers should make available more free samplers of quick reads to promote their fiction writers.
