One Good Friend Deserves Another (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
The 4 women in this book became friends in college, and have rules of dating that they created and supposedly follow. Now they are in their late 30s, and dealing with real life, and the fact that the rules are hard to follow. It's a perfect beach read (or in my case, an airplane read). My one major criticism - I would have like more of the book devoted to their college days, and how the 4 of them came together. I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. If you want to read a really good chic book, I would recommend this one. To be honest, at times it was hard to follow who all the characters were and how they all related to each other, but I got the hang of it. The story lines were predictable, but it was still a good read. I loved that even though they had all gone their separate ways after college, the four woman still maintained a strong friendship. I felt a little jealous of that and it got me thinking that maybe life doesn't have to get in the way of old friendships. LOVED the Satchmo reference.
