I have liked all of the previous Grace novels but they are starting to grate on me a bit now. This one had a weaker plot than most, and I felt that it wasn't as action packed or as tense as some of James' other novels. Not until the end anyway. My previous reviews have stated that I enjoy the leading character base as much as the individual plot-lines but after four books there doesn't seem to be any development. Grace's wife is missing. Still. Branson is having wife troubles. Still. Nick Nicholl isn't sleeping because he is a new dad. STILL.There are also a lot of 'review' paragaphs to sum up previous novels which are almost word for word like the previous novels and it really bugs me because so much space is given to them when I have read them.It was still enjoyable but not one of the best and I'm really hoping for some developement in the upcoming books. Firstly, I started this book because I want to move it out of my room but thought I should first read it. Secondly, I wanted to read something light & easy i.e. pure escapism, turn-off. Thirdly, I'm reading a German edition the wife purchased. Finally, I finished. Sort of torture & anticlimactic, but if you are looking for pure escapism read it on poolside. BTW. I gave my copy of this book away twice. The first person gave it back (without reading it). The second person read it and then gave it back! The third person took it to a mobile home campsite (or so they informed me of their intentions) in Spain where they will leave it on the swap-shelf after they are done with it - a fitting end to this nonsense book.
What do You think about Op Sterven Na Dood (2008)?
Marvelous weaving of stories that all come together quite neatly. Twisty -- in a good way.

Niet zo goed als doodsimpel maar wel een lekker boek.
