this book is so good. the boys mom died, his father left him with grandparents to raise. the grandma died. the grandpa taught him to play the guitarhe went to college in Europe where he met the girl from usa that he fell in love with. he came to her town when he graduated. tehy got married.she kept having miscarriages, finally got preg with twins but one died after she was bornthe other girl Hope is now 8 and the dad is working all the time. the wife told him he needs more time with his family and she woudl get a job , he is afraid to lose his jobhe didnt make time to get his daughter the guitar b day present so asked his wife to go for him at last minutein the car on the way a girl was texting and ran into hershe is in a coma now. i hate to put this book down! its really good!she would write him a love note every time he played hte guitar for her. he made her promises on their wedding day which he hasnt been keeping up.this book was so good and im so glad it had a happy ending where he FINALLY played the guitar like i wanted him to so his wife woke up from the coma. he forgave the girl who ran into her and the sad part was his dad died.i would love to read more from this author Really liked this book right up to the ending. Wish the ending had been different but made me think about needing to be forgiving all the time. We never know when we might not have the chance to say good bye or forgive someone. We need to live our lives in the here and now not looking into the future or the mentality that I have time to make things right tomorrow. Tell the important people in your life that you love them and if you need to forgive or be forgiven get it done.
A little slow at times. The ending was a surprise!
