Good, original story. The reader did well with the characterizations, but editing/direction was missing given that she mispronounced several of words (particularly pronouncing Yosemite as "Yose Mite") that was distracting. She also read too quickly a lot of the time. I'd consider listening to the 2nd book if it was on Audible, but it's not so I'll end here unless I see that offered in the future... A seer is a individual who gets visions of the future and according to society is "the devil". But that is just a load of BS feed to the public so an organization call the Guild can go around "collecting" them for their own purpose. And by collecting I mean breaking into homes, murdering the entirety of the house while kidnapping the seer. And Seers are the bad guys? Riiight..This story centers around a few different set of characters, brother and sister Liam and Lillie, and captured seers Marcus and Alessandra and their journey to band together to take down the guild with the help of others, sadly like in any battle there are casualties in the process. It is also a learning experience as more seers join in to discover other abilities they are gifted with. I enjoyed the story, it was very quick read and never really with any dull or downtime moments. In fact it was such a quick read that I found myself having to go back and make sure I didn't leave things out because at times I felt as if there was pieces missing that I was suppose to figure out myself. Hence the 4 stars.*I received a print copy for review as a part of Pump your book virtual book tour.*
