I wasn't sure about this when I first started reading. It seemed a bit choppy, but then it made me laugh. And then I laughed again. At this point, I found myself really getting into the story. Chaz is in love with his roommate, Karl, but the love is unrequited. Chaz is heartbroken, as Karl moves out to live with his now fiance. Mike, roommate number 3, is in love with Chaz, but that love is also unrequited. This story pretty much centers around people not seeing things that have been right in front of them all along.I loved Mike from the beginning, even though he comes across as a big jackass. My heart broke for him when the truth is known when he follows Chaz out of the closet. I didn't quite buy the abrubt change in direction Karl took, but am looking forward to seeing where Chaz and Mike go from here. This is a great story, full of deeper truths and with a wonderful mix of sweet romance, a sense of humor that will make you laugh, and a deep understanding of human nature which makes the underlying sadness of "misunderstood love" feel very true and deeply worrying. While the main character took his sweet time to get the picture, and the road there is strewn with obstacles and real hurt, the situation is one that is, sadly, very common.Chaz loves his housemate Karl. Karl has a girlfriend, though, and I couldn't understand why Chaz didn't see the truth long before the catastrophic revelations begin. I guess it is because he doesn't WANT to see the truth, and that is certainly a trait most humans share. Chaz is totally oblivious, and it comes back to bite him in a big way.Mike is their third housemate, a great guy, decent, supportive and very loyal. What wasn't at all clear to Chaz was so obvious to me I wanted to scream. It takes Chaz forever to get the message, but when he does, the heat is on!If you like humor mixed in with your romance, if you enjoy a main character who is a bit slow on the uptake but makes up for it when he gets it, and if you're looking for a very sweet, entertaining read, this book is for you.
